Blackberry 8520 Violet – A New Addition by RIM
Blackberry opted a new wonderful fascia violet colored casing device namely Blackberry 8520 Violet which really sets this phone apart from the recent onslaught of Blackberry phones. It is a member of Blackberry curve family that includes other mobile phones such as; “BlackBerry Curve 8900”, “BlackBerry Curve 8320” and “BlackBerry Curve 8310”.
Blackberry 8520 Violet is incorporated with a large 2.6 inches TFT color screen that displays 65k colors and 320 x 240 pixels resolution on its beautiful TFT color screen. Users can gain QWERTY keyboard that comes complete with a backlight which is situated just beneath the screen and also associates with navigation controls. The dimensions of the widget are 6cm wide by 10.9cm tall by 1.39cm deep and it weight is of 106 grams including its battery.
You can get many entertainment features by having the device as it comprises media player, media keys, MP3, MIDI and polyphonic ringtones. As well as the users can download various games according to their choice. Blackberry 8520 Violet is powered by 256 MB of embedded memory and MicroSD memory card slot that offers 32GB expansion so that the users can store songs, videos and data with ease.
It embeds 2 mega pixel camera which allows the users to zoom in & out while taking shots. Besides Blackberry 8520 Violet provides many other imaging and video features such as; Flash, Camera Settings, Viewfinder Display, Video Recorder, Video Player (MPEG4, WMV, H263 & H264). Even the users can customize the screen with beautiful screen savers and wallpapers.
Blackberry 8520 Violet operates on Quad band technology that encompasses GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900 networks. As well as the users can access Internet on the move as it sports HTML browser. In terms of connectivity features, the users can connect their handset with other compatible gadgets and transfer data at fast speed with the help of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, GPRS and EDGE.
Additionally, it has many other useful features like; Document Viewer, BlackBerry Maps, Sleep Mode, Security Password Protection, Keyboard Lock, SMS, MMS, Email, Wireless Email with Attachments, Instant Messaging and much more.
