Is it better to spray paint or a paint comfortable?

We received a hand me down some furniture, but we want to change colors. I know spray paint will be easier, but better to paint with a brush? We have no plans to have these elements over a long period until They're bringing new order time quality of life is not a problem. These elements are not a wood or other solid material quality paint would be ruined, and which is not a problem either.
