It is a SanDisk Memory Stick PRO work on my PS3 without an adapter?

I just got a SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Pro, but does not come with one of These adapters silver "rounds". I've seen before Memory Stick Pros come with adapters, but learned it was only a temporary promotional thing. New no memory card comes bundled with a free card. It is a SanDisk Memory Stick PRO work on my PS3 without an adapter? I can not go if I open the package, so I want to be insurance before the opening.

The memory stick duo (as used on phones, and PSP) comes with a kit to make the same size as the standard for Memory Stick Pro, and that size does not need a sleeve. If you have a 20 GB or 40 GB will not have the flash card slots and a USB adapter required for reading. A unit costs USB about $ 10. If you have a 60 GB or 80 GB, the reader is built in time.
