Installing solar panels is a simple task and it can be done easily if the rules for installation are followed. The current source of electrical energy is non renewable in nature and if one is looking for any other source then solar energy is the best alternative. The electricity rates have risen alarmingly and this can be mainly attributed to the rise in inflation. This has paved way for solar energy and day by day more number of solar panels is installed in all households. Solar energy panels are simple photovoltaic cells that are used to convert light rays from the sun into electricity by making the best use of them. They can also be installed in all places where sunlight is abundant and is a renewable source of electricity. These panels are can produce the much needed electricity required by you and they are mostly available as Do It Yourself (DIY) kits which makes it easier on your part to install these solar panels. In general solar panels can be classified into two types: conventional or crystalline solar panels and thin film solar panels. Though the material and the end use of these different solar panels vary the installation procedures hardly differ and this makes installing solar panels extremely easy. Once you have decided on using solar panels, the next thing to be considered is the place where you are going to have them installed. The place which gets maximum exposure to sunlight would be beneficial and the roof of your house would be the obvious choice. Special mounts are also available on which these solar panels can be mounted and made use of.
The time taken for installing solar panels can mostly last for two days but in general it depends on the requirement and the end use. Depending on the requirement and end use the size of the panel and the number of panels vary and hence the time duration also changes. One must take extra care in mounting these panels in the right direction. In most cases these panels have to face south where sunlight is rich and abundant. Once they are mounted they also have to be interconnected to draw maximum energy and an inverter can be used to control the energy generated.

Having a problem with my light and energy saver bulbs?
I installed 4 energy saver Phillips 9w=40w bulbs in my ceiling fan. It stayed on for about 1 min but dim. Then it shut itself off to the point i had to flip the breaker. It didn’t trip it but it wouldn’t come on till i flipped it. Any idea what went wrong?
If you have a dimmer switch on your ceiling fan, some of these bulbs cannot be used with dimmers, it usually says so on the package. You have to buy separate bulbs that are made to be used with dimmers and also the 3-way switches. Energy savers do not always work in 3-way, and there are also separate ones for those lamps. Check your package.
